Burning out

Sep 22, 2020
1 min read

My passion lingers.

Determination fades.

Doubts grow.

I'm burning.

Tiredness steeps into my skin.

My dear Icarus.

Is this how it felt?

When you couldn't fly any longer?

I feel like giving up.

But I realise that just need to rest.

Let my determination fade, for now.

It will come back to me.

I'm sure.

I'm going to rest.

While I plummet.

I'll fly back.

When my wings recover.

I'll join you in the ocean, Icarus.

Just for a bit.

But I'm afraid I can't stay.
